Abstract
The activities of the Vocational City were carried out at the time from the establishment of the Chinese Vocational School in September 1918 to the end of the NanJing civil government period. The students of the Chinese Vocational School must participate in the activities of the Vocational City after having the regular courses in the school. The Vocational City established 3 sections included Legislation, Administration and Judicature that were imitations of the government systems in China. The regularity of the school was well maintained by the students as citizens in the Vocational City set the law and observed it by themselves. The odd jobs in the school were treated as the activities of the Vocational City and the students did them by their hearts. Although the Vocational City was started by the introduction of civil education, the contents were turned out in many aspects including a labor custom, vacational ethics and service soul and etc. The Vocational City was introduced by the influence of America, but the contents were not very same as the American's. So the education to form the vocational manner became the beginning of the modern vocational education, and it was played a role in the vocational education of the NanJing civil government period.
