| Abstract |
The aim of this essay is to examine the image of Japan in "WARABI-TAKE-RŌJIN", one of Atsushi Nakajima's early works. There are several studies concerned with how Nakajima looked at the colonies in Aisa, but it has not yet been argued about his way of looking at Japan which was the colonial ruler. In this paper, I will examine the issue by focusing on the journey made by "me", the narrator.
