Abstract
This study reports on the effects of "the Period for Integrated Study" focusing on "the ability of self- expression and communication" for the 8th and 9th grade students. The students took four courses, "Dictation", "Image'Y'Graph", and "Body Language". They recognized the necessity less than the teachers had hoped although they enjoyed studying the courses.
