Abstract |
This study aims to clalify the character of attainment targets of physical education in the English&Welsh National Curriculum(1988).Especially this study focuses on the character of attainment targets in the Physical Education Working Group's Final Report(1991)from the view point of the formative evaluation. The results are summarised as follows: (1)Those attainment targets were composed of three elements that implyed the concept of abiligy to learn.And that program of study was composed of discriptions that implyed the concept of contens and teaching materials. (2)It is seems that three elements of those attainment targets imply features of 'behavioral aspects'. (3)It is seems that the cyclical processes of those attainment targets don't imply the teaching=learning process. So it is seems that criterion-referenced assessment doesn't play a formative part sufficiently.
