Abstract
This paper provides suggestions for carrying out second language activities (Japanese) on the theme of Discussing Myself based on the perspective of languages such as language is co-constructed through the interaction, and on the perspective of learning languages such as participation in this interaction is the process of learning a second language. These activities were designed in accordance with humanistic activities. Humanistic activities were developed for the purpose of getting learners to interactively discuss each other in order to generate interaction and its promotion. The interaction in the classroom when these activities were put into practice, was observed and analyzed, with the emphasis placed on the creation of cooperative interaction, through comprehensive conversation analysis. From these analyses, how the learners' utterance and chosen subjects were co-constructed through the interaction was observed. The students were using conversation forms, instructors and other language resources to voluntarily take part in establishing interaction, and this indicated the effectiveness of Discussing Myself activities in learning languages.
