In Daiyama, Anizaka and their vicinities, rhyolitic tuffs intercalated with one or two tuffaceous shale beds are widely distributed and therein are comprised bulk of Rōseki deposits.
As the result of studying the data of the boring survey, have been revealed the following facts:
(1) The main parts of deposits are mainly composed of pyrophyllite and quartz (partly plus kaolin, diaspore etc.), and the surrounding parts are mainly composed of sericite and quartz.
(2) Covering the main deposits remarkably silicified zones are found always, distributions of which are limited under the upper-most horizon of tuffaceous shale beds.
