Abstract
中高年者の男子を対象として, 健康づくりを4年間実施し, 次の結果を得た。

1) 身長, 体重および胸囲では大きな変動はみられないが, 皮脂厚および体脂肪率は減少した。

2) 安静時心拍数, 最高血圧値, 最低血圧値は, トレーニング開始後徐々に減少したが, それ以後は大きな変動はみられなかった。

3) 肺活量, 握力にはトレーニング効果はみられなかった。

4) 上体おこし, 立位体前屈および反復横とびでは, トレーニング効果が著明であった。
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to observe the long-term effects of physical training upon physical fitness of middle-aged and older men in promotional class of health.

Fourteen middle-aged and older men ( aged from 42 to 54yrs ) participated in promotional class of health, which held once per week for the duration of four years.

The results summarized were as follows:

1) No significant decrease was found in height, body weight, chest girth. But, thickness of skinfolds and body fat ( % fat) decreased significantly.

2) Resting heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased a little, respectively, through the four-years training.

3) No remarkable decrease was found in vital capacity and grip strength.

4) Sit-ups, standing trunk flexion and side step increased respectively in the course of four years.
