Abstract |
This report examined the change of the way of the culture reception of the Japanese ritsuryo legal codes nation in the mutual relations between fringe countries of the East Asia led by Tang.
The Japanese ritsuryo legal codes nation placed oneself as a central country of the microcosm in the border of the Tang-centered international order, and they desired China culture as normative culture appropriate for it. However, on the other hand, the order of the microcosm was envisioned based on the relationship between the fringe countries which had been formed from the previous period. And the side was ideated by manners of the old days and the Kojiki and Nihonshoki myth. At last Tang weathering of the Imperial Court courtesy that left the limitation of manners of the old days will progress by having abandoned the realization of this view of the world at the end of eighth century. On the other hand, the culture reception after the ninth century of Japan was released from the limitation as the international model. Therefore they were able to make the culture that they received the implication inside more flexibly. Such a point can find a difference of the reception of the Tang culture of the eighth century and the ninth century. |
