In this study, we explore the concept of 'Tao' (The Way) as exemplified in "Yamanoue no Soujiki" (Records of Chanoyu Sogen), focusing on the notions of 'Ichido' (One Way) and 'Rakudo' (Way of Enjoyment) regarding the 'Origin of Chanoyu'. We discuss their significance in relation to the spiritual and mental cultivation in Zen practice. Furthermore, we delve into the concepts of 'Suki-do' (Way of the Teahouse) and 'Kono Michi no Oku no Oku' (The Deepest Depths of This Way), which enriches our understanding of the discourse and leads to a deeper exploration of the technical aspects of the Way of Tea. Additionally, this study defines and explains the sufficient and necessary conditions for the concept of 'Tao' as described in "Yamanoue no Soujiki".
