Abstract
The structural geometry of Sambagawa crystalline schists in the Ôbokè district is investigated by statistical analysis of the preferred orientation of structural elements such as bedding schistosity, cleavages, and lineations. The Ôbokè Anticline is an asymmetrical anti-form with various scales folds whose axes trend from N 85° E to N 85° W. The cleavages develop in harmonic relation to the folds. The quartz fabric of the sandstone schist is exa-mined. The deformed quartz grains suggest a probability that the mechanism of quartz orientation is explained by the fracture hypothesis.
