Thermal effects on the inner structures of some minerals were researched with use of special apparatus, a sort of thermal increment diffractometer, through which variations of the interplaner spacings in question were pursued not only at ordinary states, as were so far often carried out, recovered from high-temperature condition but also during continuously heated state at elevated temperature up to I000°C. The results thus obtained have been found considerably different from those referred to in the previous works.
