| Abstract |
This paper deals with the present state of children's songs in Hiroshima prefecture. Points discussed in order of appearance include 1. The definition and system of classification of the songs, 2. Investigation methods and 3. Characteristics of ten distinguishing branches of the songs. The children's songs in Tokyo, the San'in district in Shimane prefecture and Hiroshima prefecture are then compared. The paper concludes with a summary of the recent condition of children's songs in Hiroshima prefecture.
