| Abstract |
A gravid female of the lernaeid copepod Lernaea cyprinacea Linnaeus, １７５８ was collected from Squalidus gracilis gracilis （Temminck and Schlegel,１８４６）（Cypriniformes: Cyprinidae）in the Seono River, a tributary of the Kurashiki River, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan on １９ June２０１６. This fish is endemic to Japan, and the present collection represents a new host record for L. cyprinacea.
