Abstract
This research centered on the objective clinical capability examination (OSCE), which was recently been introduced into an acupuncture-and-moxibustion training school. The problems in OSCE were evaluations in a medical interview station. This research examined the validity and inner compatibility of the evaluation criteria as a whole using the Cronbach alpha coefficient and factor analysis. The evaluation criteria consisted of 20 items of four factors and were validated in the factor analysis. Inner compatibility, as reflected in the Cronbach alpha coefficient, was confirmed. In a preparatory course while other students attended at a certain vocational school, some students viewed the lectures using video, classroom lectures. Learning affect was assessed by testing medical oral examination skills both before and after the lectures. For all the factors, the results of examination improved significantly after both types of lecture. For the 2nd factor, mutual inter action, the classroom lectures were significantly more effective than the lectures using video (p<0.05). The evaluation criteria created for this research appear to be useful for constructing examinations.
