| Abstract |
Two hippoboscid species, Ornithoica momiyamai and Ornithomya avicularia aobatonis, four nycteribiid species, Nycteribia allotopa mikado, Nycteribia parvula, Phthiridium hindlei, and Penicillidia jenynsii, and one streblid species, Brachytarsina kanoi, are recorded from Hiroshima Prefecture, Chugoku District, Japan. Ornithoica momiyamai is firstly recorded from Chugoku District. Nycteribia parvula and Ph. hindlei are firstly recorded from Hiroshima Prefecture. Ornithomya avicularia aobatonis is firstly collected from the white's thrush Zoothera dauma. The phoretic association of Mallophaga (Philopteridae) with O. momiyamai is firstly recorded.
