Energy metabolism in homemaking education

To study energy metabolism, it is necessary to evaluate the relationship between energy intake and energy expenditure. However, most studies have focused on concern over energy intake in homemaking education. Little attention has been paid to energy expenditure. In addition, the calculation method of food calory is not practical for human life because of its complexity. In this paper, an attempt was made to investigte the more practical methodology on energy metabolism in homemaking education. For this purpose, we first estimated the both energy intake and expenditure at the same time. We then used simple methods as compared with general methods for estimating them.
