| Abstract |
The interregional migration patterns in Japan have largely changed in the past ten years. The number of in-migrations into large urban areas is now decreasing. while the out-migration from these areas are increasing. These new trends are changing the migration patterns in large urban areas. This paper examines the recent migration trends in the Osaka Metropolitan Area. The total number of migrations and the age distribution of migrants are compared among administrative districts. The changes in migration patterns in the Osaka Metropolitan Area are then discussed.
