教育実習生の実習前後の授業・教師・子どもイメージの変容 : 実習生のレジリエンスに注目して

Change in the Image of Teaching, Teacher, and Children Expressed in Trainee Teacher before and aftaer Teaching Practice : The role of resilience

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between trainee teachers' image of teaching, teachers, and children, paying special attention to the trainee teachers' resilience. The survey was conducted with 114 trainee teachers before and after teaching practice. Major findings of the study were as follows: (1)A factor analysis of the data revealed that resilience consists of the following three factors: interpersonal stability, optimistic self-esteem, and confidence in self-competence; (2)Resilience was not related to the changes in their images of teaching, teacher, and children; (3)Trainee teachers with high resilience had more positive images of teaching and teachers than those with less resilience; (4)Trainee teachers with high resilience had either more positive or negative images of children compared to those with less resilience. These results are closely examined and discussed in order to make teaching practice more productive.
