Abstract
The benzene cluster ions were analyzed using photodissociation spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and infrared regions. A broad band was observed at 225nm in the ultraviolet photodissociation spectrum. In the infrared photodissociation spectrum a sharp band was observed at 3066 per cm. The positive charge was found to hop from one dimer paor to another. A special attention was paid to the trimer ions.
