Abstract
Among treaties concluded after the end of the World War 0,t he number of those treaties which guarantee human rights to all (i. e., the so-called human rights treaties) is increasing. This means that there are treaties which are closely related to private individuals. Nevertheless, many people are still in firm belief that treaties are far from them. However, to protect their fundumental human rights, to disseminate these human right treaties among them is indispensable. This short article is to report on a survey carried out by the present writer in the years of 1991 and 1992 on the dissemination of a human right treaty, i. e., 'the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women' in Japan.
