In the researches on the medieval culture history between China and Japan, the Bronze Mirrors with Triangular Rim and Divinity and Animal Design, which were excavated in the Kofun area in ancient Japan, have been always considered as the“ Hundred of Bronze Mirrors” mentioned in the biography of Gishi Wajin Den. According to the material record, these Bronze Mirrors were granted to Himiko, Queen of Yamato, by the Chinese Emperor Cao Pi, which are of great cultural value. However, since Wang Zhongshu proposed that Jingchu Fourth Year didn’t exist in the Ancient Chinese history, this view has blocked the way for further researches on the Bronze Mirror with Triangular Rim and Divinity and Animal Design as well as researches on the medieval culture history between China and Japan. This paper will assert the existence of the records on the regnal year of Jingchu Fourth Year in the ancient Chineses literature, through examining the relevant materials in the Kao Gu Bian and San Guo Zhi Ji Jie written by the Chineses scholar Cheng Dachang of South Song Dynasty. Meanwhile, I will point out that the change of the regnal year into Zhengshi First Year may occur at July of the Jingchu Fourth Year, and these Bronze Mirrors excavated from the Japanese great tombs are just the “Hundred of Bronze Mirrors” recored in Gishi Wajin Den, which needs to carry out further investigation and research on them.
