This reprint is the full text of the manuscript of Ruritsubo no Shin-ei in my collection. The book is a type of poetry anthology attributed to Sugawara no Michizane and is a surviving copy of what Kazuto Takei categorized as system A. This copy consists of 99 waka poems, which makes it one short of the original 100. While the text is not particularly superior to other editions, it is significant in that it partly complements the deficiencies of the Ryukoku University edition, which is thought to be close in content. Furthermore, it is from 1742, making it the second oldest manuscript after the 1729 scroll-book edition in my collection.
