Abstract
This paper consists of two kinds of consideration.One is to criticize some essays about“the aesthetics of physical education,"and the other is ,based on that criticism,to clarify the aesthetic problems in“physical education"and suggest the slgnincance of them.Physical education"in this paper means one part of education,Which has functional importance. From the criticism on some essays,the fundamental point of view for that clarincation and suggestion was indicated;(1)The term,'the aesthetics of physical education,"isnotadequate.(2)The consideration of the aesthetic problemsin“physical education"should be toward the concrete activities,for example,sport or dance etc.,through the aesthetic consideration of them.The aesthetic problemsin"physical education"were clarified in the latter half of this paper,and the significance of them was suggested as follows;(1)The signincance is not practical to the activities in"physical education,"(2)The signincance is based on that the activities in“physical education"are essential1yaesthetic domain.(3)The signincance is also in that the aesthetic problems in"physical education"are philosophical ones and concern the value or raison d'etre of “physical education."
