Abstract
When we read Meigetsuki in Reizeikesiguretei library, which was published as a photoprinting of its original manuscript by Teika Fujiwara, we recognize that there are many headnotes in the main text. These headnotes are classed as summaries of the main text or supplements to it. The headnotes function as an index of the enormous texts written by the Teika Fujiwara. The research on these headnotes will demonstrate his purpose in writing Meigetsuki and the changes he made while writing it. These headnotes are, however, not found in the other apographs which were adopted as source books for printed editions. So the headnotes in the photoprinting should be put in type. In this article, in order to examine the relationship between Meigetsuki and its author, I typeset the headnotes of the diary from March, April, and May of the third year of Kenkyu to December of the first year of Syouji in Meigetsuki in Reizenkesiguretei library volume one.
