Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the social support for families who have children with disabilities through comparing between Japan and New Zealand. As a method of this study, We used the focus group interviewing for each of father and mother who have the children with disabilities in Japan and New Zealand. We referd to “Narrative Emsenble” and analysis based on the social support. A result, nine items of the “separate my baby immediately after birth” “relative” “others who bring up typically developing children” “accessibility to service of match their needs” “shock the development of my children” “dissatisfaction for specialist” “specialized medical care” “others who bring up children with a disabilities” “spouse” were found and weighed. Conclusion, system maintenance families for having children with disabilities is enriched “tool support”. But when emotional support was not accompanied, it became clear to affect the stress and the role of the families.
