Infrared absorption spectra appearing on the microcline specimens, collected from the Ishikawa pegmatite deposit in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, have been prudently inspected especially by means of polarised radiation. The results thus obtained have not been so much agreeable with the data given previously for the fine-grained or synthesized specimens when examined under non-polarised radiation and even with those attained for particular orientation in contrast to the present work with polarised radiation along several directions on some specifically oriented thin-plates.
