Abstract
In this paper, the author tried to construct a conception of the educational methods concerning to the usage of Japanese expressions through actual practice within school lessons. Trial were conducted with third year students of Hiroshima University, during the second semester of 1980 and 1981. I decided that this trial should be based on the broadest and most unified viewpoint possible, that is, the learning of a human expression. I have endeavored to build a system of that learning process. The following contains a partial list of observations from the actual class activities. 1) We recognized we should have assisted the students with the integration of various human events in order to facilitate more precise Japanese expressions. 2) Symbolic representation, or non-verbal representation is becoming very important with in the whole of Japanese expressions and is gradually finding acceptability in the learning of human expressions. 3) Practicing the usage of Japanese expressions in class is for us a fresh effort forward the creation of such expressions for both students and teachers, one another. 4) Our educational trial has as a purpose the enhancements ability to more precisely express his/her humanity, personality and the attainment of a more profound knowledge of the national culture. 5) We should create consistent and systematic curricula based on the results of this trial, seeing it through from the elementary school till the university or beyond. 6) The purpose of this research is to find the ideal system of Japanese education. This paper is merely, an introduction of my own tentative theory. I intend to continue to study this problem by further applying my theory.
