Expression and Life Here we have treated the expression of treatment proper in this district, and made clcar the actual aspects of respectable expressions, modest expressions, and polite expressions, focusing our attention on honorific verbs and auxiliary verbs used in them. 2. Vocabulary for Daily Life We have tried to systematize the main lexical sets of the basic vocabulary which they use daily in their agricultural and forest life. 3. Pronunciation and Life We have analyzed and examined the data of word accent obtained from 10 informants. The system of word accent in this district closely resemble to that of Tokyo. But it has been recognized that there is a slight dissimilation phenomenon to change the accent system in the young people. We hope that descriptive studies should be performed of synchronic aspects of various dialects of Japan. And these studies should be unified with dialect geographical studies and synthesized to be a global study, for it will be desirable that historical present aspects of dialects are ideally studied.
