Nowadays, it seems that Japan is going to change into an era of life-education or learning-society, the tendency of which is desired by the present society. People wish to learn not only at the school, but also, if possible, fleely after graduation. The extension course of Hiroshima University by broadcasts was tried from October, 1978 to January, 1979. The present author recognized this attempt as one of epoch-making events in the developmental histories of life-education or learning-society in Japan. From this view point, the author has studied how the extension course was carried out and how the applicants to the course learned. The present paper is devided into two parts. One is the description of the extension course "Dialects and Culture" by radio. 1. Their questions and opinions over 90 have covered many fields in human sciences. The author classified them into 10 groups as follows; 1.
