This paper, as a preliminary work of analyzing the Iranian revolutionary regime, intends to examine the implementing system and consequences of Majles (parliamentary) elections held every four year since March 1980.
The elections have been severely mirrored by the socio-political transition after the revolution. Nevertheless, few detailed examinations based on the analyses of the electoral results have been attempted so far. Therefore, here are made abridged translations of the laws concerned, as well as intoroduced the electoral data with explanations. This fundamental work will give some useful information not only in reviewing the revolution itself but also in exploring the fourth election held in April 1992, which seems to be extremely significant to assess the future stability or vulnerability of the post-Khomeini government.
