Abstract
In the study of the financial administration in Tudor period, the role of the financial agencies which were established in 1530's and had the bureaucratic characters, has been said to be very important. But, then, the role of king's household has been under-estimated in the theory of 'Tudor Revolution'.

In this article, I'll examine the role of the king's household, especially king's chamber and privy chamber, in Tudor financial administration. As a result, I'll insist that it was very important in the administration of public finance, mainly by 2 points as follows;

First, the king's chamber had already had the bureaucratic character to administrate public finance in 1510's.

Second, though the accounting system of chamber became bureaucratic, the flexible, undifferentiated household system was never lost in the king's household. That system was succeeded to the privy chamber. It played an important role in the administration of public finance by taking full advantage of the household system until 1550s.
