Abstract
I have written Narushima Nobuyuki's career from 1689 to 1739 in serial form, and this paper deals with articles presented to him in 1740.

In January, dignitaries around Tokugawa Yoshimune ordered the librarians of Momijiyama Library and Nobuyuki to search the library for documents about the administration of lands in China.

In March, Reizei Tamehisa and Hamuro Yoritane came to Edo as messengers of the Emperor. The Tokugawa Shogunate invited them to sightseeing boats floating on the Sumida River. Nobuyuki accompanied them, composed Chinese poems and waka, and wrote a travel piece “Haru no Mifune".
