Abstract
In Chinese literature the introduction of novel materials is usually less important than to take up again existing materials and to give them a finer expression. The result is that more effort was directed to the way of expression rather than to contents. The remarkable features are the favourite use of (1) antithesis, (2) similie, and (3) authentic precedent. These rhetorics are originated in the Chinese minds of thinking in contrast, To set A against B is to produce C,the union of A and B.

We have seen in the above that the literature of Chinese people is full of such rhetorics as antithesis, similie, and authentic precedent, based upon their comparative way of thinking; so it may be called a literature depicting the world of harmony.
