The purpose of this study was to perceive and to consider the management of compressed gas cylinders (CGC) in university laboratories. We examined the present conditions of CGC on campus, and pointed out the problems which should be improved. Cylinders were found to be preserved for an extended period of time. A new system was considered to propel this problem. Standardized tags were put on the CGCs to simplify management. There is also a need to educate students and staffs with enhanced educational material about CGC handling.
