From the 1980s to the 1990s, Japanese literature translation in Chinese flourished unprecedentedly.Starting with the study of Japanese literature and the translation of Japanese literature, the study of Japanese literature and its translation status in the new period are discussed in this paper. Also, the achievements and existing problems of Japanese literature translation are stated in this paper. The translation of classical Japanese literature and literature of various schools in modern and contemporary Japan are further explored through the perspective of history, the great situation of the translation of Japanese literature in this period is revealed in the study. Therefore, readers understand the spread and influence of Japanese literature in China in this period.
