A Case study on the Significance of the Trial Teaching in Physical Education for the Initial Teacher Training

This study aims to understand that the students attended trial teachings of "Teaching Method of Primary Physical Education 1" have noticed what solved problem exists in their trial teaching through "Reflection" in the feedback meeting after their teaching. The students were trained in the Hiroshima University Program of Elecmentary School Teacher Education. The results are summarised as follows. 1.Four categories, "Teacher's activity", "Knowledge concerning the class", "Keeping teacher's composures", and "Pupil's desire" were taken out as common large categories though the teaching materials of trial teachings and the students of the teacher post were different. Moreover, the common medium categories, "The teacher's utterance" and "Management of the class" appeared in the subordinate position of large category "Teacher's activity". At the same time, the common medium categories, "Flow of the class", "Knowledge of the teaching material", and "Meeting of TT" appeared to the subordinate position of large category "Knowledge concerning the class". The appearance of these common categories shows that these "Awareness of the problem" is done repeatedly through "Reflection" of trial teachings. 2.When the movement that most students were able to do was taught in a trial teaching, the target for the trial teaching was the organization of learner's relations each other. So the participant noticed there were problems in student teachers' teaching for urging learner's relations each other. Moreover, the participant noticed that there were problems in student teachers' teaching about the grasp of the skill levels of learners and the teaching method to improve learners' motor skill when the movement that there is a difference in learners' motor skills was teaching in a trial teaching. In addition, it was noticed that there were their problems in the teaching method corresponding to the individual differentiation.
