My country's development on the use of IT in education is long overdue. Although IT revolution has increased rapidly, Japan has yet to catch up with the IT flow. It was only recently that the Government has developed a serious attitude towards IT. The Government has mentioned the need for national movement in IT -- IT REVOLUTION. Likewise it was only 2 - 3 months ago that articles on IT appeared in the newspapers daily.

I personally feel that Japan's IT Revolution needed a boost to speed up the processes. After several discussions and interviews with Ms Mazlinah (Monbusho Scholarship, Teachers'-Training), I realised that the gap is much wider than I had expected. Thus, this thesis aims to explain Japan's present condition in the use of IT in education and to prepare her for using IT in education in the near future. This thesis was developed based on numerous discussions and brainstorming sessions I had with Ms Mazlinah on her ideas, experiences and class practices which Japanese teachers can put to use.
