In the present study, development of the model of a flower as the teaching material was applied for understanding about morphology of flowers in the teacher trainee class. At first, students morphologically observed the flowers in detail. Then they tried to produce the models of flowers by paper. The completeness of each model changed with students who made. However, the concept of the model which they meant was clear. In addition to the detailed knowledge about the learning contents, various abilities are required in order to develop teaching materials. Therefore, the process of development of teaching materials is effective in teacher trainees.
