Single women often have some housing problems in the metropolitan area. Their housing conditions are poor, because they can not pay their rent for the better house. Furthermore the rent in Tokyo tends to raise in spite of their poor conditions. Single women want to improve their housing conditions. In 1990's, some single women tend to purchase and own their house. The paper aims to clarify the mechanism of housing supply for single women in Tokyo. The housing supplies for single women are concentrated in the surrounding areas of C.B.D. and the adjoining areas. They locate near stations and in the commercial zones. The convenience and safety are important for single women.
