学習者の反応を中心とする文学教育論の検討 : ランガー編『文学教育』を手がかりとして
An Examination on the Student-Centered Teaching of Literature.
The purpose of this paper is to discuss on the values of the student-centered or response-centered methodology of literature instruction. In Judith A. Langer (ed.) Literature Instruction (NCTE,1992), eight contributers have discussed the methodology of student-centered literature instruction for educational reforming in the United States. Literature Instruction provides the "construcitivist" approaches for the teaching of literature. In this paper, After examining several chapters of Literature Instruction, I have explored the significance of the "constructivist" approach for the teaching of literature, and discussed the possibilities of student-centered or response-centered teaching of literature in Japanese school settings. The student-centered methodologies which was discussed in this paper will provide various possibilities for students to recognize the importance of knowing about processes of making meanings.
