| abstract | 本研究は、対照言語学研究の方法を考える上で、モダリティと人称を例に、理論的な枠組みを提示したものである。具体的には、主にドイツ語の話法の助動詞sollen, dürfen, wollen と、日本語の助動詞ベキ、テモイイ、（ヨ）ウを扱う。モダリティ表現をM(p(R))と表し、モダリティの源であるMと命題を遂行するRとの関係を図式化し、意志のありかを検証することで、両言語の相違を明らかにし、それにより学習者の誤用を説明し、さらには他言語への応用を示唆するものである。
