A Bibliographical Essay: the Division of Korea' The paper analyses four interpretations concerning the responsibilities of the division of Korean pennisula, which are 1) Soviet expansionist explanation, 2) American imperialist interpretation, 3) foreign big power interpretation, and 4) foreign and indigenous combination explanation. Through the comparison, the author intends to show what the past studies have clarified and left out on the issue.
