abstract
Miekischi Suzuki guided how to write Tsudurikata, or composition in the magazine named "Akaitori" where he showed how to write Shaseibun, This is a study to prove that Miekichi Suzuki meant to educate human beings through his guidance of Tsudurikata. Since the "Akaitori" was founded, his guidance consistently consisted of selecting contributed works and commenting on them. He required that pupils should write as it is all the time. His requirement shows that he guided how to write Shaseibun, By writing Shaseibun, children are to think their lives objectively and compose based on their own will. In addition they can realize self-expression and self-affirmation. Miekichi intended to establish children's independence and self-recognition by asking them for Shaseibun. He had educational intention of aiming at human education as well as nurturing the technique of composition as is often said.
