Educational Curriculum Formation in Intellectual Disability Education based on Crosssectional Perspective in Curriculum Management : With Cooperative Approach and the Points regarding Treatment of the Contents

This study was conducted to examine the ways to formulate education curriculum based on the following three issues in our school under the new course of study; cross-sectional perspective in curriculum management, cooperative approach by all teachers and the points regarding treatment of the contents. When educational contents are established based on cross-sectional perspective, it is effective for teachers not only to consider their subject but also to overlook the contents of each subject, to relate one subject to the other and to create new relations between subjects, especially relating to the core subject in learning. In formulating educational curriculum systematically through cooperation with teachers, a lot of meetings in various scenes by each group are necessary toward a common understanding. Furthermore, creating situations where teachers can share their ideas, awareness and enthusiasm with other teachers so that they can enhance their responsibilities for their teaching is also essential. From now on, it will be necessary to establish the cycle of evaluation and improvement toward our approach.
