In the nature reserves of Japan, there are many stakeholders present; therefore, the various stakeholders need to manage the natural resources. I focused on the role of core facilities in the nature reserves. The purpose of the study is to clarify the utilization of core facilities in an actual situation in San'in central region and the relationship between the stakeholders involved in the field. It was found that the roles of the core facilities are "conservation and protection," "dissemination and education," and "regional development and tourism." The six local groups of the stakeholders fulfill these three roles.
