Abstract
This paper is a general presentation which describes the tendency of Japanese-Chinese business communication research in Japan. Beyond summing up the research results, the author also points out some problems in present studies and discusses research projects that need to be conducted in the future.

After summarizing the current business situation for both countries and the profound meaning in bilateral business communication, this paper explores the following five issues: (1) Language and non-verbal communication; (2) Japanese-Chinese business negotiations; (3) Japanese-Chinese business management; (4) Cultural backgrounds of Japanese-Chinese business communication (i.e., a comparative research of the Japanese and Chinese cultures) and (5) Some existing problems and future research projects.

As the final conclusion, it is argued that the following elements are essential to deepen Japanese-Chinese business communication research in the future: a combination of business communication research and intercultural communication theories; a systematic comparative research on the Japanese and Chinese business culture; and a multidimensional comparative study for both cultures, incorporative interdisciplinary cooperative research.
Abstract
本文对日本日中商务沟通研究的动向进行一个粗线条的描述。在总结其研究成果的同时,提出存在的问题及今后的研究课题。本文在概述日中商务现状以及沟通所具有的意义后,集中探讨了语言与非语言沟通、日中商务谈判、日中商务管理、日中商务沟通的潜在背景即日中文化的比较研究、问题与课题这五个问题。我们的结论是,为深化日中商务沟通研究,与跨文化交际理论的有机结合以及日中商务文化的系统对比研究、文化的多元对比研究、多领域的合作研究今后必不可少。
