The study aimed to investigate the concept of reflection in teacher education and classify the studies about the pedagogy of physical education according to the framework of the concept that we developped.

The following results were obtained: At first, the results of our investigation of the concept of reflection were as follows. The concept of reflection was spread. It meaned that the objects of "reflection on action" contained another awareness except "reflection in action". In addition, it meaned that the objects of reflection contain not only self-practices but also observing others' practices and learning of theories. Secondly, the result of classifying the studies about pedagogy of physical education using the framework that we developped were as follows. There was no study that distinguished between "reflection in action" and another awareness except "reflection in action" as the object of "reflection on action". Then, there were some studies that confused self-practices with others' practices as the object of reflection. In addition there was no study that learning of theories was set as the object of reflection.
