The data base of the teaching material resource in the region around the school is very profitable. When this data base is constructed, the information device is very effective to collect data. Especially, there is an advantages that everyone can easily use the mobile phone with GPS and the digital camera. In the present study, as the IT device to collect the data of the teaching material resources, practicality of the mobile phones with the GPS function were examined. As a result, it was suggested that the mobile phone was an effective tool depending on the using situation though GPS accuracy was insufficient in the present performance.
