| Abstract |
An adult female of the lernaeid copepod Lernaea cyprinacea Linnaeus, 1758 was collected from Pungtungia herzi Herzenstein,1892(Cypriniformes: Cyprinidae)captured from the Shiragami River, a tributary of the Takatsu River, in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan on 13 June 2012. This collection represents a new host record for L. cyprinacea.
